In this workshop, you'll bust through writer's block, explore genres and improve your skills in memoir, fiction, and literary nonfiction. You'll learn to hear and then listen to your writer's instincts and you'll refine your reader and review skills. To be successful in this workshop, you'll want to center yourself and let go of what you think a "real writer" is or does and be prepared to fill a notebook or more with fresh, compelling ideas and work.

Class start the week of February 15th - March 19th
Tuesday nights only. 7- 8.30 PM

Who Should Attend: Writers new to the craft who need time to investigate genres, brainstorm ideas, reflect on the fundamentals, and develop their writing voice.

Using prompts specifically engineered to help you generate material for an existing project, you will walk deep into the outback of your work to find the story you're meant to tell. This intense workshop will use guided discussion on points of craft relevant to your work, short craft lectures by visiting authors, workshop and feedback, and prompt-writing to treck toward the truth of your unique writing project. Class is limited to 6 writers.

Class starts the week of February 15th - March 19th
Thursday nights only. 7- 8.30 PM
Six weeks. $250.

Who Should Attend: This workshop is for those who are currently working on a draft of fiction, literary nonfiction, or memoir, or have an idea for a book they want to focus on during the semester.
